Mats by ECOMADE
Our vision is to make and sell beautiful products made out of natural resources from the 7 sisters of India. Our business sets aside 15% of the equity for our artisans.

The 7 Sisters are the seven northeastern states of India, each region endowed with rich natural resources that are unique to the region. Each state is a land of beauty and craftsmanship with the people living simple and happy lives using their own products. It is time for the rest of the world to discover these states and the products. ECOMADE was formed to bring to market unique products from these regions and create livelihood and access to markets for local craftspeople. Our first product is a simple Mat. Now you are going to ask, how is it different from any other mat. You can fold it into a lady’s handbag and when you unfold it, for over a thousand times and more, not a single wrinkle will be remembered! Check out for yourself!

ecomade

Each Mat by ECOMADE is naturally clean and doesn’t get affected by moisture or insects. They are environmentally degradable unlike those made out of plastic and artificial materials. They are fun to use, cool to the touch and soft. And finally, you fold them and unfold them a thousand times? They will remember no wrinkles.

It would be a good product.
    But what about the cost?
As it would require man power than machines, wouldn’t it be more costly than the normal plastic mats?

Ashish, you are right. We are positioning this as a niche product targeted at the high end market.
